Are the notes found in-game related to our economy? Is it our currency? Since we can buy notes for the exact amount it says why can't we sell them for money too? It would actually give people a reason to go into cities and loot the cash registers. I do hope this thread will give us a little background in our servers economy and how it relates to the game.
A suggestion on our economy.

I think if you pick up a note, it should delete itself and go straight into your balance, either that or it should have an option to transfer to your balance, making lockers actually useful for saving money, as it was supposed to be used, I don't know if our gods can do this, but it'd be pretty dope. It would help us stand out from all the other servers like ours.
-
that is a pretty cool idea, not that it helps much because the notes are so small
a good idea nonetheless!
Thanks,
Dan

That's actually a really cool idea :O

Notes are small but they take up a lot of space if you have a lot of them xd

That's why he said said there could be a plugin where you get the cash as soon as you pick them up.

Possible and pretty easy but can't you craft money out of clothes?

No you craft money INTO cloth.

Is it possible we're gonna have some inflation in our economy thanks to me?

This would be nice since the notes are worthless. I wonder what the chance each piece of currency has of dropping? Like does a 100$ note have the same chance to drop as a looney or is it a lot more common to get just a looney or a toonie? Anyway, I doubt it's not too common to get either 50$ notes or 100$ notes so I think this is a good idea to implement.
-
Obviously toonies, $5 notes and such are easier to get. $100 notes normally drop from ATMs where you need a generator to power them.
-
You say obviously but I don't even remember the last time I checked a cash register and I didn't even know you could power ATMs (and call me unobservant but I didn't even know there were ATMs). All the more reason to back the suggestion!
-
This would help the noobies or people that actually don't pay to win. So i'd love this suggestion to be implemented.
-
I did this on a server a while back. You use notes to use the ATM. The ATM's are like lottery machines. You put so much in and see what falls out. It worked really well till the server closed
-
On a related note...Never bothered to do it, but I always assumed the notes might work in the soda machines if you powered them up. Has anyone ever tried to power up the soda machines, what do they do?

You do not need money to get soda, its just on a cooldown. you can get a free soda every so long.
Not a clue what money is actually for.

Money is probably used for the realism of being in a post-apocalyptic world by Nelson, money wouldn't be used for anything but still there.
-
Heres a suggestion: 100$ Notes sells for 10$$ ingame while 10 $ note sells for 1$$ ingame
-
Money was probably added for roleplay purpose.
-
$100 is rare anyway, i think 100 for 100 is fine, its like selling 2 weapons.
it will give people reason to actually go into towns and cities later on in the game.
Thanks,
Dan
